September 19th and 20th marks the 5TH ANNUAL SHUCK AND SWALLOW – BURN AND BLISTER CONTESTS!

Do you have what it takes to win some serious cash?

BURN AND BLISTER – SEPTEMBER 19TH, 11PM
This contest is not for sissies, pregnant women, or children. Try your chances at a contest involving the hottest of the hot chicken wings and go home with $500 cash if you’re the first to finish 10 of our scorching hot wings. (Want some milk to soothe your melting lips? Not a chance – the only liquid provided during the competition is PBR)

SHUCK AND SWALLOW – SEPTEMBER 20TH, Preliminary 12pm, Finals 4pm
Grab a partner – this contest requires a two man team. One person shucks, one person swallows. For 10 minutes, multiple teams battle it out for the title of the most swallowed oysters, and a $1,000 grand prize. Step aside if you have a weak stomach or soft girly hands – barfing or bleeding is an automatic disqualifier.

Join us for a weekend of live music, food and drink specials, nausea, and blisters.

The Schooner Restaurant on Netarts Bay has been established  for over 60 years, and 9 years ago the business changed hands to be owned and operated by Barry Boring, Tom Flood, Sr. and Tom Flood, Jr.
The summer of 2009 began the impressive remodel project to change the face of The Schooner.

The finished expansion consists of a large deck/outdoor seating area, outdoor mesquite grill, and wind powered turbines to generate power to reduce the reliance on traditional energy supplies and ultimately reduce our carbon footprint. We are making powerful strides towards a more sustainable business in our community by buying local ingredients from our farmers and dorymen. We are constantly searching more effective means of providing for our customers needs while maintaining sustainability.

Come in and enjoy our wild caught seafood, Netarts Bay oysters, choice cut steaks, house-infused liquors, and live bands on one of the most beautiful bays in the Pacific Northwest!
